How do you fix shattered Gorilla glass?

With Gorilla glue, of course!

A friend of mine had an unfortunate incident with their phone, it fell and bounced down some metal framed stairs. The glass shattered. They assume that I can fix anything and popped the question on me. I'm normally busy enough but these past two days I've been hustling and the first thing that came to mind was the smart ass remark. I also laughed like a hyena. They were not amused. That just made me laugh even more.

They know, ship happens. :whiste:

Better watch it, they might push you overboard. :D

That's the thing with smartphone (especially iphone) users. Want to see them jump over the side? Ask to see their phone while out on the promenade deck and toss it over the side! :sneaky::awe::D

Otterbox FTW. Also Ruby threads are always tops. :D

I had my iphone 4 in an otterbox and found it was cumbersome. For clumsy folk they are great though!

I have a Galaxy Note in a speck candy shell case and it's not too bulky and would probably take some rough weather. Of course it feels like the phone is going to break in half every time I have to pull it out.

Ouch, sometimes it just hits the right way and the impact seems so minor but can cause catastrophic damage like that. It's the butter/jelly bread and cat landing on its feet rule.

2.5ft drop and it has a silicon case on it...

If that's made like the one I had I can see why. The phone was heavy and had a metal bezel around it. A silicone case does provide some protection but a 2 1/2 foot drop is not much of a drop. Most phones can take that, naked.

shitty luck I guess. I am not even sure how it can happen like that. It fell flat face down too. I think the bezel is shiny plastic and not metal.

Come to think of it, I broke the glass of my ecodrive watch by dropping it and my wedding ring at the same time and the face of the watch landed on the ring...

That's the downside of so called strengthened glass. Sure it's very much improved for scratch resistance and overall strength. Hit it with a sharp object or nick the edge and it goes off explosively as if made of detonating cord!
