I have a miditower case, and there is only space for a 80mm fan, so where do you install a 120mm ? Do you get a bigger case or do you make a 'smart' solution yourself ?
You probably need a bigger case. However, if your case has a lot of room around the 80mm fan hole, then you could either get a 120mm drill hole or try and dremmel out a 120mm openning yourself (yuck.)
I put in a Panaflo metal 120mm facing my videocard and cpu. I installed it on a brass strip, which I can adjust in different positions. I connected the brass strip to the back of my midtower case and ran the front of the brass strip and used the side of the harddrive cage.
You always have additional screw holes on the side of your cdrom or hard drives to connect the brass strip.
I used my drill press to drill out the holes on the strip.
I just cut holes in my case to place my 120mm fans. For the front intake I just enlarged the hole from 80mm fan size to 120mm fan size.
Plenty of room on a standard case.
