Ok, I'm sorely convinced I'm doing something wrong here....the market CAN'T be this empty.

So the question of the evening remains:
If you were fired via email in 5 minutes...heck, let's say 10, how would go about finding work? Where would you look? What would you do to get motivated, etc. I'm thinking the whole network around, submit, and interview schpiel don't cut it no more. Is there some sort of cult I'm supposed to join or something!

in short yes. We meet ever tuesday at 3:00am in Funk, Nebraska. Bring silly putty, saran wrap, and crisco. Lots of crisco, the more the better.

yoda...just keep looking...think about taking a retail job at a computer store, that way you can have a little income and network through your customers there

Look at jobs for the government, state, federal, land local. Also look at schools in your area. Do you have any friends or family that can put in a good word for you?

Well, I have this map. I leave the house. Stop in the middle of the street, (they always honk at me....) and I read my map.

I print them off Mapquest.com. Nifty little site, Mapquest!

Anyway, I follow the highlighted line all the way from my street to work. Amazing!

And that's how I find work. Cool, huh?

thx for the tips guys, but I have friends and family all looking for me. I have a meager income coming in from odd jobs and construction/contracting. I swear tho, if I have to build ONE more cinder block wall, I'm gonna blow my top. I know I have the qualifications, I see people who I personally trained finding positions in IT and I'm scratching my head like WTF?

milagro: I don't use crisco...sorry bud.
