How do you find out which connection is negative/positive on a speaker?

Im sellin my car and i just took out my system. I got the stock subwoofer out of storage and am ready to pop it back in the car, yet im confused about which connection on th espeaker is positive and which is negative. the old wires were soldered on and just cliped when the sub was removed so theres no real identifyable traits. How can i see which is which? I have a multimeter if that helps...

The one with the plus is positive... 😉

It doesn't matter as long as you choose the same one for both speakers.

Just read that on google groups...I believe when the speaker pops out u have the polarities correct...so i tested it out and i figured out which is +/-

Thx 🙂

in my experience, if you turn the sub over so the magnet is facing you, and the terminals facing the bottom, the left connection is negative and the right connection is positive.
