I just recieved a slot 1 motherboard, but I don't knwo anything about it. How do I figure out who made it, and what model it is?

If there are no obvious stickers then look for a serial # and then enter it into a search engine and see what pops up.

If everything fails you can go to the homepage of your BIOS manufacturer, which should be easy to determine, and search for an explanation of the "monster" codes when booting (shown at the bottom of the screen when the IDE devices are detected). Each mainboard manufacturer has its own code for the respective BIOS and can be determined this way.
