how do you encrypt an usb disk?

so i am wondering if there is a way to encrypt a usb disk where each time i try to access a file, it prompts me for the password, regardless of the computer i am on. is it possible to do something like this?

You put a copy of the TrueCrypt program files on the drive along with your encrypted container. I believe it's pretty self-contained.

i did do that. but for some reason i can no longer load truecrypt a second time from the usb disk. it gives me some errors. is that suppose to happen?

i got it to work. you have install truecrypt into the directory on your usb and then create the container. unfortunately, if you want to use it on a computer where you have no admin rights, you are screwed.
