How do you enable DMA mode for CD-Rom drives in XP?

When I load a game in XP Pro it takes forever, I'm talking 20 minutes for No One Lives Forever. I'm sure the DMA on my drive is not enabled but I can't find where to do it at on this new operating system.

devicemanager
choose the ide controller it is on
choose use dma if possible

Right click on My Computer -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers

Chech you primary and secondary controllers. There are options there.
