How do you edit the registry if you can't get into windows?

I was working on the registry of a windows 2k machine and I moved drive letters around. The guy had the system booting from the F: drive. He was trying to install software onto the PC that wouldnt install without a C drive. So I changed the drive letters in the registry, but forgot to create a paging file for drive C:!

My question is now, this computer won't load into Windows so how do I get to the registry? I have another PC to move the hard drive into. I just dont know how to access its registry.

THanks in advance,

actually I just put the drive as a secondary in another system and opened up that registries hive on the good computer and edited it. It seemed to work well.
