I don't like oatmeal, I don't like tuna without mayo, I don't like eating raisin brand for breakfast, etc etc.

I like eating Wendy's number 4 combo biggie sized with a Coke.

I like eating Cocoa Pebbles for breakfast.

I like eating pizza for dinner.

I like eating Jack In the Box for dinner.

I KNOW I need to stop eating junk food and start eating healthy if I want to lose weight and have a more healthy body.

I don't think I could ever eat raisan brand for breakfast everyday.

What do I do?

Stop drinking soda. Drink water or iced tea instead when you go to fast food.

That is a good start. Don't try to all of a sudden "eat healthy." Start with small improvements.

You just have to find things that you do like..

Don't expect to change your diet "cold turkey", so to speak.. It should be gradual..

Start off by eating a healthy breakfast and lunch. That will offset any baddies that you eat for dinner quite a bit. Also, snack on healthy things like fruit and vegetables throughout the day.

It's called sacrifice. Everyone LIKES eating the unhealthy foods mentioned above. No one likes giving it up, but that's something you have to decide if it's worth your health to give up those foods

Start off gradually... Good breakfast and lunch... more vegetables and fruits. Its just a matter of finding healthly foods and sticking with them.

You will find that you feel infinately better once you start eating healthy. When I first got into eating healthy.. I did a lot of research, and decided to see if it was all true.. so I went on a fruit and vegetable diet for a week.

Let me tell you, the difference was amazing.

Another key is moderation. Most people don't feel "satisfied" unless they're stuffed and can't eat another bite. Try and change that, if that's the way it is for you.

Another thing that I can recommend, is get some fiber laxative(yeah yeah, that's just what it's called).. made out of psyllium. Find a drink that you like it in(I like apple juice), and drink that before each meal. The fiber will not only be good for you, but it expands quite a bit and will help you feel full faster. The stuff doesen't taste that bad. I get the Bi-Mart brand, and it tastes like apples.. so it goes with the applejuice just fine.

I used to hate everything bran, whole grain, rye, fiber etc...

Now i won't eat anything but that.
You have to change your eating mentality.
Right now you eat for the taste of the food.
After a while eating healthy you can associate healthy food to
making you healthy/feel good/lose weight and will want to eat
it for those reasons. The taste may not be as good as a piece of cake
but you will dispise cake soon not for the taste but for what it will do to your body.

I agree big time with this. This is absolutely the first thing you should do. If you have to go to diet soda to wean yourself off, then do that. Later on, you can work on changing macronutrient ratios, incorporating more fiber, antioxidants, cutting down on saturated fats, getting more unsaturated fats, etc.

Consuming hundreds of calories worth of sugar water every day is beyond stupid. I did it for WAY too long.

it's pretty darn easy IMO. healthy doesn't mean tasteless. as a matter of fact, i'd rather have a grilled chicked sub w/ no cheese and no mayo (just veggies and honey mustard) w/ some baked lays, than a greasy wendy's burger w/ mayo and a freaking huge bucket of oiled fried......yuck. nasty. but i wasn't alwasy this way....as a kid i LOVED mayo - in fact i would layer mayo in between each cold cut, as well as on the bread itself. pretty gross huh? my point? you can change your eating habits easier than you think.

however, if you're having a hard time, try this....go to your local grocery and stock up on all the healthy sh!t you just listed (like 3 or 4 weeks worth). you can get some sweets too. ice cream sandwiches are pretty good, only about 150 calories per bar, and they go well to finish off your meal. also the flavored popsicles or italian ices are pretty decent on the taste/calories ratio.
then go home and stuff your face will all the non-healthy food you had back home. i mean really stuff yourself....to the point you feel disgusted. then go on a raid of your cupboard and fridge, throwing out everything that's unhealthy, replacing it with all the food you just bought at the grocery.

MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL is that you have to start exercising. no matter how hard you try, if you don't exercise and you're not used to eating right, you're going to go back to your original habits. you have to make a conscious effort to get healthier. once you start running and lifting weights, it won't be so much of an effort to keep the unhealthy sh!t out of your body. you're gonna want to ditch that wendy's meal and eat something healthy instead.

working out makes me want to eat healthy. if I spend an hour at the gym and then go eat a Fatburger or something I feel like I just wasted my time. so that's my motivation to not eat "bad" stuff. I think it's important though to just eat whatever the hell you feel like at least one time a week, it isn't good to just deny yourself all the time. even bodybuilding freaks like Dorian Yates go to McDonalds now and then.

Just eat crap if you don't like what the advice people say here. Try it though you may like it, but if you can't stomach it don't.

If you train hard you can eat what you want and still look pretty dam good.

Squat, bench press, military press, deadlift, bent forward rows, up right rows, some cleans and you can eat as much crap as you want.

Sure you can get better results with eating better but if you can't t hen you just train well.

Better to eat healthy though.

Me I eat lots of rice, fruits and vegetables, not so much chocolate and sweets. Nice home cooked meals less fast food but will eat them at times. I train hard so have no problems.
