I usually slice it once down the middle like an orange, then carefully peel away the yellow skin inside till I find a nice field of of seeds. Then I proceed to take a huge bite & enjoy. :)

Is there an invention yet to deseed the fruit yet? I want to snack on them like cranberries & grapes. A nice bowl filled with ice & pom seeds. :D

I don't think I've ever seen a pomegranate, muchless eaten one.

It is like citrus or what?

I love em, I cut them in half then start peeling, I then proceed to pick out like 20 seeds then eat them all at once. I do spit out the white parts however.

It looks like a big red onion, but has many flat sides. The inside is sort of like a honey comb filled with little tiny red grapes.

I remember eating them when I was kid and sucking each individual seed until it was bleached white :Q.

The outside gets almost saggy & wrinkly. In the inside, the seeds turn grey. They still tast ok, but no longer tart, just slightly sweet.

If you're feeling kind of industrious, you can slice your pomegranate in half and then seperate the seeds from the pulp while holding each half submerged in water. The seeds will seperate from the pulp in the water (the seeds float), and then you can gather them all and eat them as you please.

When it's not too ripe, the seeds are pretty sturdy, so I don't need to set up a lab just to keep them from splattering everywhere. There's money waiting right here for someone to invent a de-seeder.

Poms splatter & stain. That's the problem. A mango gets all over your hands, & the fiber gets into your teeth, but I don't need to wear a bib to eat it. I'm not sure what you mean by a "juice" mango? A very ripe mango?

A juice mango is a mango that you squeeze and juice comes out and you eat it like you are sucking on a breast.

A ripe mango is a mango that you cut in pieces and then eat.

I've lived in PR for a time & I haven't come across this. Whenever the mango gets overly ripe, it does get loose & soggy, but never like puree. We always took the old mangos & used a blender to make juice.

I'd like resurrect this thread, as the poms in the market today were a little bigger then usual. It's going to take me at least 45min to devour tonight.

Any other techniques I should be aware of? Has anyone invented that deseeder yet? :p
