How do you drain rechargeable batteries?

Does anybody know how to drain rechargeable batteries? My A60 has lasted one whole month on and off since the last recharge...I am worried that those NiMH batteries won't hold charges.

Damn, Canon is good.

Put the batteries in an appliance which draws a lot of juice?

That's what I normally do before I do a recharge if there is still juice left

ROFL. That was gold. Out of nowhere!

Just touch aluminum foil from one end to the other and let it sit. It'll drain those batteries.

nihm doesn't have memory, no point in draining. just buy more if you need it that bad, nihm cheap. rayovac 15 minute charge versions are fast

This man speaks the truth.

There's no memory effect on NiMH.
