Rather than just dragging the folder to the trash, how do you completely uninstall a program with extentions and all? There seems to be no main uninstaller. :disgust:

just drag the folder from the Applications folder into the trash. its as simple as that. if you want to remove extensions, theyre named pretty well so you can just go into the Extensions folder and delete them manually. a lot of the applications dont have extensions so you might not have to worry about them.

Most programs do not have extensions. The ones that have a ton of them (like MS Office) sometimes have an uninstaller. Otherwise, just delete the application's folder, like fobside said.

Thanks Cheesemoo! I've got to support a few macs now at work, so this little tip is quite useful, probably wouldnt have spotted it without the bump!

Often mac applications leave a file in the preferences folder (less often in the system folder itself). However, these files are typically very small, and if you aren't paranoid about getting rid of interenet cookies, you might not even want to bother removing it.
I always thought one of the best things about the Mac platform was how easy it is to install/uninstall/move programs around.

When you're using Mac, stop thinking Windows. Macs do not have registry, and that's the beautiful thing! If there is no uninstaller, just throw the folder in the trash and you're done! :)
