How do you disable startup items in Win2000?

right click my computer --> properties --> advanced ---> startup and recovery options --> choose OS and time

I have no idea Why Bluga posted that. To dissable items from starting up, You can import msconfig from Win98/Me and use it. You will get a few error messages at first then it will work. You can also be a real Win2k user and edit the startup programs in the regisrty,or just wimpout like me and use a third party registry editor. My personal favoriate is Xsetup, XSetup download Its free and works well. Just use the startup wizard and your good to go. You can also disable services you dont want starting up from Adim tools/services in the control panel.
