How do you differentiate ECC SDRAM from regular SDRAM?

ECC has 9 chips, regular SDRAM has 8.. always the same even for SIMMs.. etc..

another way to tell is by looking at the info on the ram... eg. if you have 16x64 you have regualr SDRAM. If you have 16x72 you have ECC. basically 64=regular and 72=ECC
