How do you define cheating?

This is inspired by a part of another thread-

What do you define as "cheating" in a relationship? Kissing and beyond? Fvcking? Oral? Hugging? Holding Hands? Talking too often?

At what point does it become cheating?

I think, that while some behavior may not be acceptable and I wouldn't condone it, I would say kissing and beyond is cheating. Anything less is not cheating, but could lead to it.

i agree with kissing and beyond..the ex however puts it right below talking too often...by that level it's the greatest betrayal of trust known to man

Hanging is fine. You can have girl friends without liking them as a romantic partner. It only becomes a problem when you're not loyal to the one you're supposed to love.

even the online flings are considered "cheating' when one grows emotionally attached to this online friend / real-life stranger

You already know my answer...when you begin to form a relationship with the other person that makes you more than simply friends. This often occurs before physical infidelity occurs.

I'd say kissing, but then some friends have that kind of relationship. a quick kiss to them doesn't mean a thing. OP, I vote for more poll!

go see the movie "Unfaithful" with Diane Lane and Richard Gere.

she started cheating the moment she decided to 'meet' the Frenchie after the initial encounter.

My argument to this was that, even if I wasn't ok with it, it still isn't cheating. I'd still break it off, though.

I agree, you can tell right away when there is an attraction. As soon as something is initiated, i would consider it cheating.

that movie was messed up BTW

cheating is meeting some guy in a bar and going into the bathroom and jumping his bone while you are engaged to someone else.

None of those.

Cheating is only if you love someone and then decide you love someone else. It has nothing to do with physical actions.

So if your partner sleeps around on you, it's okay?

Yes.

It may be fine with you, but not for others. In which case its cheating.

If you get hurt by your SO's actions, physical or not, its cheating

Yes.
IIRC, Amish is in an open marriage. Correct me if I'm wrong.
