I am stressed everyday lately, I have a lot on my mind. I find the best way to deal with it is to make myself smile and joke around. After a few minutes of that, I usually start to relax. :)

Actually, I have been using this forum as a form of stress relief.

Isn't it painfully obvious? ;) :D :(

Lift weights or work out, preferably somewhere where you can observe a large areobics class in prograss. (Notice I said "large class" and not "class of large") ;)

<<Try going to an adventure movie - its 2 hours of escaping reality>> I don't know, I have seen a few that definitely added to my stress.... :)

Punch old ladies in the face and take their purses. While they're on the ground, I'll hit em with their own purse to give them a taste of their own medicine and then kick them to make sure they'll stay down. I'll be stress free, guilt free, AND have money for some grub.

Just happened to mull this over myself recently. I've found the answer for me is to find a path to the solution of whatever is weighing on my mind. I don't actually have to solve the specific problem(s), just see light at the end of the tunnel.

It's not always easy getting to that point, but that's the trick. Putting problems off to see a movie or post here will NOT do it for me. I have to move toward a resolution, otherwise I'm in for a severe headache, neckache, general tension and snapping at everybody. Sound familiar?

Oh well, the point is to keep on top of "fixing" what's wrong and don't get side tracked. The sooner you get a handle on the fix, the sooner you'll feel better. Uh, a couple Aleve® tablets will help in the mean time ;)

Exercise. I prefer to surf; walking will do.

Music. Preferably while exercising (not needed while surfing or practical in the water).

Eat properly - plenty of B-complex vitamins.

Take a nap. Get extra sleep.

Video games and/or chess.

Work (some of my work is not stressful).

Forums.

Movies.

Lately I've been stripping down and going outside to play "nude olympics", running lately has been my best event.

;) Actually I don't get that stressed about stuff....

I have discovered that the things that set me off, take being late in traffic, for example, trigger hidden feelings that hidden feelings of inadequacy are surfacing. The stress is keeping them down. The rarer relief comes from letting them surface. It can be quite amusing to discover the person you want to kill today really called you a name in kindergarden. I think of Mayer Baba who said: "I am the Devinely Beloved who loves you more than you conld possibly ever love yourself. Relax and be happy"
