How do you deal with information overload?

The last straw: I was watching some stupid info-video about taxes at my job and I didn't realize until the end that the darned thing was NOT in english. I have a bad case of information overload.

Help, how do you deal with this?

 
Wait... so you watched an entire video not understanding what they were speaking? I fail to see how that's overload 😕

It was about the NJ tax amnesty, which is all gibberish anyway.

The overload part is that increasingly, I'm trying to make sense of all the information, and it just turns into mush in my brain. In this case it was already mush, but I didn't even notice the difference.
