How do you Copyright a book title, even though it's not been written/published yet?

Say you come up with a cool title for a book; you want to protect it...even though said book isn't completed yet.

How do you accompish it?

Write everything you know about it, details...dates....then get an nice, manila, envelope, seal it with wax and mail it to yourself....and do not open it.

I've heard of this "antidote" before for other things...is this legal? I.E. Will it hold up in court?

No, it won't hold up in court. Look into trademarking it, or officially copyrighting it.

Personally, I think that's lame. Either write the damned thing or let someone else use it.
