How do you cool your computer room?

We all know that pc's generate heat. In my house, we keep both of our computers in the second bedroom, it gets much hotter in here than any other room, and the room is only equipt with 1 ac duct (like all other rooms cause its a small house) so to crank up the AC is a waste of energy.

I have a fan facing me so i dont notice, but the room really is THAT much hotter in here. Has anyone come up with any good alternative (cost effective) cooling for the room that a computer heats ?

open a window, works great in our house. Mind you we do not have a real hot summer.

I have 2 windows I keep open, one with a window fan blowing out. The room's always pretty comfortable.

It's never hot here in the summer so opening a window is sufficient. In the winter it does help warm a room up a little though :)

I have a dual 9" window fan in each window...great for air circulation, tho it sucks as you can't hear anything and the EMI interferes with my CRT and makes it flicker :(

Winter is freezing in here no matter...its like 45-50, great for overclocking though :)

Bruck, I also am experiencing the same dilemna. One improvement I made was selling my 21" CRT and buying (2) 18" LCD's since they do not generate as much heat.

i run a 5000 btu window air conditner on low fan speed and set it to 68 and it runs about 80 % of time in summer but does a great job. plus it is 110 volt and only draws 3 to 5 amps so it is not hard on the power bill. u can pick up a good one for 120.00 to 150.00

I happen to have 2 windows in this room, so if i put a fan in the right place i can get good airflow, plus the summer is almost over. Turns out i had a very hot fluerescent light in here, i realized we added i to the room recently, i ditched it, dropped the temp about 10deg (also opened windows)

I have no AC and live in Southern California so it gets hotter than blazes in here all summer long. The best I can do is open the window and sit around wearing nothing but shorts with a fan blowing on me. It gets up to the mid 90°F range in here almost every day from late June until September.
