How do you convert a WDB (Works DB) to a MDB (Access DB)?

I was given a WDB database that was created in MS works that was given to me. Does anyone know how I can get it in any usable format (XLS, MDB, CSV, ...)? I've tried opening/importing it in a number of differant applications (Access, Excel, KOffice), I've tried changing it to a text file and importing it and all I've ever been able to get is gardbage.

Thx

What options do you have for "Save As?"

If you can "Save as" a CSV or WMF, colums of text, whatever, you should be able to read it / manipulate it in Excel, or read it directly into the other database.

the problem with both of those options is that it requires that you have Works which I dont have...
I tried importing the native WDB format into a new table in Access and that did not work.

Hmm, in most cases, you need the original application software to save it as either a tab/comma delimited file.

From what? The origional application, which I dont have...

You would think that MS would have a reason to make Works somewhat compatable with Office, at least Works' word processor files you can open with Word. Anyone have an idea on how I can get the entries out of that thing without MS Works?

Thanks for being willing to do that skyking, it really irratates me that Microsoft would purposly make their home/professional productivity suites incompatable. I would like to think that they would make the path easy to go from Works to Office so that people can "upgrade".
