How do you connect you tape deck from you home audio system to the live drive

I want to play a tape and then record it to wave and convert to mp3 for my tape deck to the Live drive, Do I connect the SPDIF IN to the Out of the tape deck. I need help

SPDIF IN is a digital input. You need to use just a plain mic or line-in jack on the sound card and the audio out on the tape deck.

Not sure what connections are on the back of your tape deck but this is how I did it:

Output RCA jacks on the back of tape deck connected to the regular line in jack of the SB live (not sure about live-drive).
If your live drive has RCA inputs you should be good to go. I had to visit Radio Shack and pick up a dual RCA to 1/8" jack cable. Sounds fine and very little noise.
