i went to my 9 year old daughter's teacher-parent conference last night and while waiting grabbed a pamphlet sitting outside the door

i thought "things sure have changed since i was in fourth grade!!" :Q

how do you stack up against today's 9-10 year olds? :D

Title of pamphlet -> Curriculum Grade 4 Overview, Liberty Public Schools

Technology-

-improve accuracy and speed
-identify a toolbar/window
-change the orientation of a document for printing
-use editing menu
-use draw tools
-use a spreadsheet to create a graph
-create a multi-media project including text, graphics, and scanned images
-use a scanner to digitize a graphic
-use a video camera
-format a floppy disk
-open and view two documents at the same time
-troubleshoot computer problems (warm boot, open apple commands)
-recognize file sizes and storage space limitations
-navigate through a web site using hypertext links to gain and communicate information
-choose an appropriate on-line resource for research

haha i was just thinking the same thing!

i think i knew all that stuff when i was 9 though... except the spreadsheet and scanner stuff. didn't have excel and didn't have a scanner (but then again, who did back in 92?) :p

mmm, no, no i wouldn't

"they" are trying to get my group moved from informal level 3 support to formal level 2 support, which would mean i would have to start dealing with the people you refer to on a daily basis. i am not very happy about the idea :|

ouch.... that sucks :(

on another note, i think dealing with people increases the chances i'm passive aggressive. *shrug*...
