How do you close emails?

Depends on the situation, but usually one of "Thanks", "Regards", "Thank you", or "Cheers".

Informal messages between friends and family should be as simple as texting. No big deal about punctuation and greetings or signoffs.

Business email should reflect the serious and professional status of your position. It must always be to the point and never waste time with BS that tries to impress.

Friendly, informal?
"-Thanks" and then my name, or sometimes I simply put my name and that's all.

Formal or business of some sort?
Almost always, I use:
"Respectfully," etc.

Depends on the situation and whom I'm emailing. When emailing to Architects, Engineers, Subs, or team members I deal with on a daily basis it's usually "Thanks,", if it's someone else, it's "Thank You". The head honchos, i.e. Construction Executives get a "Respectfully".

If it's for an ongoing issue I won't sign off with anything since I've got my signature.
