How do you clean your keyboard?

Every year I take off all the keys and put em in soap and water. Give the bottom of the keyboard a good cleaning (trying not to be repulsed by the crap I find in it) and then put it back together.

wow and I thought I was paranoid about my keyboard.

I just might do this 🙂

unplug it first
spray it lightly with cleaner
us a high powered air compressor gun and blow all of the crap outta it.
the high pressure (really high pressure) will dry it off completely

jam😱

Put the keyboard in your dishwasher, in the top rack, face down on a warm cycle (no heating after). Seriously.

He's right, that was a science bowl question once in high school.

Open the top cover and carefully clean the inside and the keys. Be prepared to find a colony of "goodies" stored within your keyboard.

Umm ... 2 rules with keyboards:

1) Don't eat poppy seed or sesame seed bagels around them.

2) Don't pick your nose while you're using your computer.

If you follow these rules, you should never need to clean it. 😀

take it apart and then clean it.

putting keyboard in washer is for fools. sheets of circuits inside that easily corrode with water contact. a bit of water seeps between the sheets and bang, keyboard is gone.
