How do you clean your cpu?

How do you clean your cpu? Is there a way to clean off the artic silver on my cpu, or should I just leave it. And apply more artic silver on top of it. Thanks in advance.

is there a problem with leaving it on with the old as? I took mine off and wanted to unlock. but failed.. so i just kept getting it off and back on... plz let me know if theres any damage to the cpu.. thx.

You're all going to freak... but I simply put it under warm running water and scrub it with some dish detergent. I bet I've cleaned a couple dozen CPU's this way over the years.

Think about it.... it is a nonporus object. In fact, it's ceramic, just like a coffee cup. Anyway, I just wash it like I said and then hit it with a blow drier for about a minute or two and everything is right as rain.

BTW... I'm far from being the only one on the forums who does this. Once you realize that you can't hurt the CPU, you'll never go back to the pain in the butt ways of cleaning them.

To be honest, I think mineral spirts are just as easy. They take arctic silver off like nothing and drying time is basically non-existant.
