How do you choose your primary care provider for HMOs?

I just got my first job and I have to pick who my primary care providers will be for medical and dental. My question is, how do you pick? It seems pretty weird to just pick a name off the list. Are there any resources I can look into that will help me decide what is the right path for me? 😕

On a serious note, what i did in a new area is ask people at work that i trusted. Then i went to the doc and he was cool so i stuck with him.

Thats what I did and got a good doc. But I also live in a small town and everybody
knows everyone else's business anyways...

Even if you don't like who you pick, it's just a matter of a phone call to change
your doctor. But just make sure to make the call before you switch.....$$$$$$
