How do you check your voicemail from a regular phone for SprintPCS?

How do I check my voicemail without calling the voicemail from my cell, for SprintPCS?

I'd imagine that you just call your cell from another phone, hit pound when your message comes up, and type in your pin.

It's been awhile since I had Sprint, but that's how it worked for AT&T.

Yeah, it's probably even better to shut it off so you don't have to wait through the rings - It should go directly to the voicemail.
