How do you change the Dual boot menu order ?

I have just re-installed so I have dual boot winme/2000, when it boots win2000 is top of the list of OS. How do I reverse the order to make Winme the default ?

There is a file called "boot.ini" on C: and under the section labeled [operating systems] you can cut/paste the names... make sure you don't mess up the commands but you can change the labels inside the quotes. If you can't see the file go into folder options and uncheck "hide protected operating system files". Might be a good idea to back up the old one, JUST IN CASE...

If you want to change the boot order through windows. Boot to windows 2000. Goto My Computer => Properties. Click on Advanced, then click on Startup and Recovery. Select Microsoft Windows ME as your default OS. You should also be able to change any other bootup issue here.

This is probably safer than manually editing the boot.ini file.

Heh heh, yeah you're right. I forgot about that method... Guess I'm too used to the Slackware of changing options... :eek:
