How do you change memory timings and memory ratio on the Gigabyte GA-8I945P-Pro?

Hi again. ;) I ran CPUz on this mobo and it's only running 3:4 memory ratio, I want it to run 1:1. On my P4C800-E Deluxe, it's simple, but it's not the same on this GA-8I945P-Pro mobo.

Also, incredibly, I can't find anywhere in the BIOS where the memory timings can be changed! CPUz shows a ridiculous 4-4-4-12 (and 268mhz which is right on for PC4300), and it can run @3-3-3-8 as its SPD stock specs indicate (however CPUz is showing the SPD as 3-3-3-9, not much difference). Memory is PQI Turbo PC2-4300 (DDR2) 1gb DC kit.

Mobo BIOS version is F7.

Thanks. ;)

I also noticed something else. In the "Mainboard" info module of Sandra's latest version, under the memory info, it says PAT (Performance Acceleration Technology) is disabled! So how is this enabled in the BIOS? I don't see this area anywhere.

Pressing CRTL+F1 at the main bios menu will unlock the hidden advanced bios options.

Have fun :)

So do you know how to get it to the 1:1 ratio?

It's amazing how much a little tweaking will do. This mobo defaulted to 4-4-4-12 @266mhz default memory speed (DDR2 PQI Turbo 2x512mb PC2-4300). I changed them to 3-3-3-9 (its SPD specs at that frequency) and PC Mark memory went from 5009 to 5517. RightMark has too many results to list, but there was also good gains in it. In the first two areas of the "Quick test" results, they went from 5012 & 6731, to 5272 & 7010.

N7, since you seem to know about the new Gigabyte BIOS (or Award) on these 945 mobo's, maybe you can answer this: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=29&threadid=1711086
