If you select a file to always open with one program, and then want it to open with another, how do you change it's association? I want to be able to bring pack the list of available programs to open it with. Thanks guys!

For the list, and to make changes, in win explorer options look for tab "File Types".

that's "hold the shift key down" while you "right click" the file... then seletct openwith...
This brings up the file association box. Choose your program and be sure the box is checked to open it everytime with that.

That's the easy way. Using the "File Type" tab in the "Tools > Options" in Explorer will get you there too, just takes a little more clicking ;)

Thanks guys, I screwed my system earlier doing something! I'm running 98 with IE5 and Outlook Express. If I select Outlook Express by itself, from the program menu, it will open. However, it seems to not be associated with the "Mail" button in IE5 anymore. Any ideas on this one?

Click 'My Computer' or 'My Documents'. Click 'View' and then 'Folder Options'. Use the 'File Types' tab. Need more info?
