How do you change certain icons in WinXP? (Desktop, Network Drives, Drive, etc.)

I was wondering how you're supposed to change icons for certain items such as the Desktop icon (not to be misinterpreted as desktop icons), drive icons, cd-rom icons, etc.
 
there is a file in your windows dir called moreicons.ini i think it is
when ya wanna go and change them just brows to this file
