How do you change admin password in win98?

Admin? Win98 has those? IIRC, just hit Esc to bypass the logon screen and go to C:\Windows. Thereshould be a *.pwl file or something to that effect, where you just delete the password that goes with the username. Then when you boot again, enter a new password and then windows will ask you to confirm. Remember, this is all a guess, I haven't touched 9.x in months...

The reason I logged on as admin the was so I could access a share on my win2k machine .. and if I didn't use my win2k login I wouldn't be able to access the share... or at least, no way that I know.

not to say that I couldn't just use a regular user account though .. just did admin by reflex I guess.

That account is on the win2k machine. If you want to change the password, change it there.

I'm not logging into a domain though, ie, not using 'log into a windows network' .. anyways, I changed it. Thanks all.
