got a usb drive and looking for good way of carrying it around. the keychain hole is on the drive and not the cap, so it's not practical to connect that way, since my keys are heavy

I think the opposite. My keychain hook is on the cap, and I don't use it, because if the cap were to come off, I lose the drive, and keep my cap. If the hole is on the drive, then I just lose my cap.

Get one of those keychain things that comes apart easily, so you can detach it from your keys.

Because of this, I just stick mine in my pocket, and don't have any problems. I just tend to leave it at home sometimes when I want it.

When I'm at work, it's dangling around my neck along with my ID badge.

When I'm carrying it around at other times, it goes in the left pocket on my trousers, along with my phone.

I think a weak man, when confronted with this question would have gone for the easiest way, that is, to carry it in your pocket; and I being one of those weak men, also would do the same.😉
