Hey guys,

I just picked up a new monitor, the 22 in westinghouse that was going for Black Friday at BB.
I've heard that all factory default settings for lcds and designed to look good on the bright show room floor, and that you should calibrate them to get the best picture in your home.

I've searched around on google, but I can't find anything? I've only seen Spyder2, but that costs 170 bucks. How can you do this for free?

Thanks in advance,
cheezeit

The Spyders are great, but mainly used for CRT color calibration. LCDs are limited in that you really can't adjust the color levels much. I know there are some brightness/contrast screens you can download to aid you but I don't remember where offhand. I'll take a look now...

Thanks, I'll be looking foward to those sites.

After looking around on the gigantic lcd buyer sticky, it seems like most monitors come with software to calibrate? This westinghouse came with nothing.
