Anytime i try to burn this cd image (mdf/mds) it keeps wanting a CD to burn the image on, but since I do not have a CD-R, I want to use a DVD. but it won't let me.

any workaround for this?

thanks

No can do. You'll just have to copy the files off the CD onto the DVD. There are utility programs out there that make image files look like normal directories that you can copy individual files/directories from onto HDD - so once you've gotten all the files out of the image, you can then copy them to DVD. Check majorgeeks.com for such utils.

hmm, for some reason, nero allows me to burn cd images onto dvd.

it doesn't always let me do it though. =\

run a virtual drive, copy everything out of it, then you can put them on your DVD

Nero has a function called Nero ImageDrive that'll do it.
