How do you boot into safe mode with the Asus A8N-SLI

How do you boot into safe mode with the Asus A8N-SLI. I already tried pressing f8 and it just lists different devices to boot from. Do I select a device and press f8 again. I'm lost.

Yes, just pick your primary HD and hit enter, and it should boot in safe mode
