How do you backup PTP DVDs?

I'm trying to backup a dual layer DVD but Imgburn tells me it's a PTP DVD and it can't burn it properly on a OTP DVD.
 
That's correct.

You can only record a PTP image onto a PTP disc. All recordable DVD discs are OTP. Only professional glass masters for mass production can be recorded PTP.

Your only option is to extract the files and create a new OTP image with teh same file structure.
