How do you backup PS2 games with a DVD burner

I did a search but cant find anything related. I am about to buy a double layer DVD burner and would like to backup my PS2 games. Is this possible ? The drive will be coming with Nero 6
How and what program do I use to backup them up

A quick and easy way to backup PS2 games is to use Alcohol 120%, although it is not free.

1) Insert game
2) Click "make image"
3)Click "burn image"
4)Select image you just made
5)Done

mitchafi, IIRC, don't you need to have a modded PS2 for backups to work?

Yes, of course you do. But that's still how you back up a PS2 game . There is no way to make a backup that will play in an umodded PS2 as far as I know.

I'm aware. I still consider that a mod. Personally, I use a flip-top w/ swap magic to play my backups.

What is a modded PS2. Can someone explain this to me?

Basically it has a modchip installed in it that allows it to play imports and backups. It usually requires soldering so you shouldn't attempt to install it yourself unless you know what you are doing. There are alternatives to installing a modchip which require using boot discs but are cheaper.
