*I have done zero research*

I get hit with a fee every time someone sends me money, whether its CC or Bank Account.

How can I avoid this?

You dont avoid this. Paypal isnt a free service, you get charged for money transfers. Convenience comes at a cost.

You need a personal account, but then you can only accept payment from another personal account for free.

Can I turn my account into a personal account?

I had no idea it wasn't a personal account?

Because this is the only way to accept payments without incurring a fee. All premier accounts (ones that take CC) take a charge on everything. Personal accounts don't get charged, but can only take Non-CC PP.

Think about it - Visa and MC charge a fee to paypal for each transaction processed. You pay for it becausse it's your transaction.

You can get slightly lower fees or more transfer per month or more withdrawals per month etc by upgrading your service. Go to your paypal account settings, im sure it tells you somewhere. You have to pay for such things though.

Try not to use paypal if at all possible. Send a postal money order and use paypal only as the last resort ;)
