How do YOU approach a female you do not know?

How do you approach a woman you are interested at work, but do not know them? There's a couple of women at my organization (5,000+ employees) that I'm interested in meeting, but I do not know what to say since we've only seen eachother in hallways.

I'm a PC technician for the org, so I get to see a lot of people and computers.

On a more serious note, I use this with reasonable success (of course it's not just the opening line that matters, but this does set the tone correctly):

"Damn, I didn't know this company employed such attractive people."

"I was referring to myself."

But honestly, do the flop out.
