How do you alter the speed of the Start Menu in WinXP

Run Regedit
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
Select MenuShowDelay from the list on the right.
Right on it and select Modify.
Change the value to 0.
Reboot your computer

Thanks for that. It is however already set to "0"

There is a little checkbox somewhere and a position to change the Millisecond delay....just can't find it..lol

Get the Powertoys from MS if you don't have it. Open up the control panel for Powertoys, and go to the Mouse option in the left-pane list. At the very top of the right-pane that shows up, there is a slider to adjust how quickly the menus open after hovering the mouse. Right click on the little gears icon to test it.
