How do we know if we are right?

Shuxclams made me think to ask.

Naturally with factual material, like what's Washington's birthday, we can look it up and assume what we read is the historical record and presumably right. How about exestential and sprirtual guestions, though? Where do we get our certainty? Do we really know anything? Who examines his or her assumptions? Can we know anything? I gotta go.

It's obvious that you are not married. If you were you could just ask your wife any of those questions, wives know everything. ;)

Empirical evidence is what I believe you are referring to. :D Only the person and thier perception is adequate to decide what is real and valid.

Oh, I'm quite married.

I said I've never been wrong before. But I could be wrong about that. And since I am married, chances are pretty good that I am. Wrong that is.

to prove yourself wrong, just find some example that counters your correctness.

and when no one can find that example, don't tell anyone and you're always right =)
