How do we get cold water?

We get hot water because we have water heaters, but how do we get cold water? Wouldn't the water just be lukewarm if there was nothing to cool it?

Seriously. Learn some physics.

They used to pipe cold water from Antartica in the past but recent advancements have made it possible to pipe from the North Pole as well.

It's actually runoff from the melting glacier secreted underneath every township.

If your bunkers are in warm areas your right potable lines (the stuff coming out lines coming on the RIGHT side of the sink or marked blue or C) will get warm.

The solution (of course) is a water chiller.

Just under the ground (3-5 feet) maintains a constant year round temp of about 55 degrees. A little colder in winter, a little warmer in summer.

What? I thought that you get hot water directly from the ground and you have to have a Water Cooler to get your cold water.

*invests in North Pole Water Futures*

Edit, it's pretty cool underground.. sometimes on hot summer days when you turn on the water, the water comes out lukewarm, but after a couple of seconds, it gets cooler. Not COLD, but a lot cooler.. Like 60s?

I believe it involves giant ice cubes mined on Halley's Comet.

Oh please, that's the solution to global warming.

Cold water comes from subterranean gremlins that are made of antimatter. Since they're made of antimatter, they generate antiheat. Then they take baths in their antimatter water, antiheating it. When the antiwater is converted to water in quantum geysers, it gets cold.
Just when you think people can't get any dummer...

Think I heard somewhere that it's around 55º 6-8 feet underground year round. This is in Minnesota...not sure if it applies everywhere.
