Hi, this may seems a repost, but it is not...

I just got this card. SoundBlaster Audigy 2 PCI.

the speaker go with it is my old CambridgeSoundWorks FPS2000(4.1)

when i play MP3 using Winamp, there is not sound from the rear channels

I need to enable the CMSS2 in order to get sound from them... is the way to get it working correct?

when i use the MediaSource Player(MSP), some MP3 can't be played. but i can play them using winamp. and there is an "X" beside the song name in MSP.

the treble and bass seems kinda awkward. how do u set it?

and all kinds of settings... (like 48k or 96k,... etc)

people please gimme hints.

thanks

Audigy 1 has the "Creative Sound Mixer" that allows you to adjust all the speakers... I imagine that Audigy 2 has the same... Try Start > Programs > Creative > Sound Blaster Audigy... Also check "Audiohq" and "Sounds and Multimedia" in the Control Panel (Start > Settings > Control Panel > Audiohq or Sounds and Multimedia).

ya, thats right, the mp3s are stereo...

my back speakers would drop out every once in a while, but
i changed the output plugin of winamp from directsound to waveout.. and that fixed it. maybe this is a bug in directx 9?

Make sure in Windows, Control Panel that you have your speakers set up in 4.1, not 2.1 or anything else.

Open "Creative Surround Mixer"... Click "Advanced Mode" button on bottom of mixer... Then click "Speakers"... Then click "Settings"... Then click "Bal/Fade"... Then make Your adjustments... Move stuff around, Your not going to break anything.
