That's what I'd like to know

I'm running an Asus A7V C and I'd like to be sure which VIA 4-1 driver set I am currently using before I upgrade to the latest.
I'm just trying to eek whatever performance increase I can out of my system.

Thank u very much.

Im not sure if the number displayed is the version of the 4in1 VIA drivers, but U might try this.
Go to REGEDIT > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > VIA4in1Driver then it will appear a info on the right side, I think that number shown on the right side is the version of ur 4in1 drivers.

In Win2K the path is C:\windows\system\drivers\viadsk.sys. Right click the file. Select properties. second tab to the right is version.

Should be similar for other OS's

This is correct. I was wrong about the file version. It has a different # for some reason. I don't know why.

Hey Teqwiz!

Thnx to confirm this to me. My friend just asked me this same question today and I started to look around to find out.
Im not sure if I really installed the 4.40 version. To really confirm this I was going to install the new 4.43 drivers.
But I hv a question how do I uninstall the 4in1drivers? Couldnt find a place to uninstall it.
Any help would be appreciated!

TIA!

You cannot unistall chipset drivers manually that I am aware of. The new drivers will overwrite the old drivers automatically. If you uninstalled the old ones first, then your computer would not have a backup copy in case you have a problem with the newer drivers. It more than likely would not boot if it did.
