How do u say "Staticy"...is there a word like that, for somthing having more static then somthing?
AM radio is more staticy then FM?

You could say AM is more prone to interference than FM, AM has more static than FM, FM is more resistant to interference, something along those lines if that helps.

From a signals and systems point of view, the term is &quot;noisy.&quot;

Static is actually white noise, so if one station has more &quot;static&quot; than another, you can say the signal has a higher noise floor. This sounds a bit unnatural perhaps.

If you wanted to get more technical, you could say that the clearer station has more dynamic range, whereas the &quot;staticy&quot; station has less dynamic range.
