i have an mp3 player with only 64mb, so i wanna downgrade the quality of some MP3z

what program do u guys use for this?
 
IMHO, mono on head phones is about as good as stereo, so you could jsut use LAME and set it to 64 mono and double your number of files playable.
 
Ummmm typically I use BladEnc or LAME or whatever tool I happen to feel like using when I was doing this before I got my NetMD unit. Now I have so much space I don't need to downgrade. Personally anything below 128k is grating on my ears pretty badly.
 
Realjukebox Plus....but I find it difficult to listen to 96kbps let alone anything lower....I take it you have no Smartmedia expansion slot?
