Proxy logs is right damnit. My internet access logs are on average 350MB-500MB per 24 hour period. They won't let us log them to a SQL server so I can create ASP pages to parse and search them either. At the moment, I have to import them in Access and run queries on them until I can write a page that will read the log file directly.

Well, at work I only have access to the company's webpage and it's through a proxy. Is there any way to get around it? I'm sure they won't mind.;)

Not unless they have some IP subnet that bypasses it and you get on that somehow.

Seriously doubt it.

type www.nakedchicks.com in your web browser. it will come up denied. type it in again. if you do this 20 times, it will give up and let you see the web site.

Very likely there is another proxy for the admins or someone. But if its not given to you, theres a reason behind it. I would avoid trying to find a way around, it could cost you your job

We have ways we do...

hmmmm, what would you like to know about yourself?

We know how long, how many times, how many unique hits, whether it requires unique login, whether a page links to questionable content, we can bring up the exact page you're viewing without you knowing... Oh, there's more but you really don't want to know just how deep we can dig now do you!?

Take the Red pill... Stay seated until the fasten seatbelt light goes off, remember to eat your complimentary snack and we'll get along just fine. :)

you would be better off leaving this topic alone....

proxy logs can tell you EVERYTHING about the internet and who uses it - chat, browser, newsgroups - the proxy file tells all

Good thing I checked with you guys first. It's not worth the risk of losing my job to post here.
