How do the family time plan work ?

Suppose if you have 1000 shared minutes.

3 Phones - 1000 Shared minutes.
Calls between the 3 phones do or dont effect the minutes

or are the 1000 minutes just for calling other people ?

I guess it would depend on the provider's rules.

I have AT&T Wireless, and calling other phones in the same family plan does not count against the minutes.

All total useage of the 3 phones should not exceed 1000 minutes or you will pay out the butt for "overage."

Usually, calls made to each other (using the 3 phones) is considered "in" calling and don't use any of the 1000 min allotment.

However, I guess that you should check with the provider.

That's how it works with Verizon Wireless...don't know about others.
