How do the digital camera review WEBSITES compare

I think they are all great.
I am not sure I have a preference, or can tell that one is particularly better than the other.
Is one considered more detailed or more insightful or biased or what?

I tend to stick with www.dpreview.com.

They're pretty exhaustive in their testing and don't have any blatant bias towards any single manufacturer. The forums there are also pretty active and provide some great advice from time to time.

Agreed. I while back when I was looking for a digi cam to buy, I mostly used their site as a reference. If I wanted any additional info sometimes I went to DC Resource to get a 2nd opinion.

Some of my favorites in no particular order:
-----------------------
The Digital Picture
Sports Shooter
Fred Miranda
Photozone

I like reading the Digital Picture for lens reviews and samples. The forums in DPreview rock (my handle is k1n3t1k @ dpreview and fm) and the people are extremely friendly. I think FM people can be somewhat biased. Sports Shooter is awesome if you ever want to shoot action - which is one of my favorites to do. Great insight, info, and samples. Very finely tuned towards sports, obviously, and experienced users make info seeking excellent.

My homepage for digital camera is DC resource.
They are not particular the best at anything but I like their chart of all the latest cameras, specs and prices.
I think I use their chart more than any.

Back in the days when digital camera just got popular there were 4 major site.
- Steves Digicams
- DC resource
- DP review
- Imaging Resource.

- Steves defiantely reviews the most cameras
- DP review has the best front page news....letting us know whats new and whats coming out. Best forum.
- DC Resource, to me has the best reviews. Its all on 1 page and easy to understand. Also their chart of all the latest camera is invaluable.
- Imagine resource...for some reason, I just never like that site.

I'm pretty sure there are many more major sites that might even be bigger but thats the 4 majors baxck in the days.

dcresource.com - reviews
stevesdigicams.com - reviews

imaging-resource.com - I love their compare feature

They are absolutely biased towards Canon. It is a very well known fact.

In general, take all reviews with a grain of salt and rely primarily on USER reviews!....

My brother, who is a professional photog, always refers me to DP Review....I also like to goto Steve'e Digicam and DC resource for a 2nd/3rd opinion on cameras.
